Systemic Psychotherapy
Are there moments or relationships in your life that leave you feeling sad, anxious, angry, frustrated or emotionally drained? Are you noticing repeating patterns? Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed and not in control of events or emotions, unclear of how to respond for the best?UKCP Registered Systemic Psychotherapist
If this sounds familiar, then therapy with me will help you to explore your situation, reach some understanding and to work towards positive changes. Being able to talk through concerns with professional guidance and support can make a difference both now and in the future.
Sessions aim to help you feel clearer about your strengths and choices, to better understand your responses and to identify what you might do differently to effect positive change, whether you attend alone or as part of a couple or family group.

About Me
I have worked in the field of counselling and psychotherapy for over 20 years both within organisational settings (statutory and third sector) as well as in private practice.
I have a relational approach and my hope is to support you to find a positive relationship with yourself and with significant others in your life. I work with a wide range of concerns including couple and family relationships, attachment themes, personal development and growth, relational patterns, building self esteem and confidence, separation/divorce, step-family issues, co-parenting, life-stage transitions, ill health and/or bereavement as well as working with anxiety/depression, and difficulties relating to experience of the criminal justice system. I have a trauma informed practice and draw on nature and ecotherapy in my work where helpful.
Ongoing sessions are usually weekly, at the same time each week. I offer sessions both in person and online. We can discuss which might be most helpful during our initial conversation.
I offer a free 15-20 minute online meeting so that we can meet and speak about your hopes for therapy before arranging a first session. Some reduced cost sessions are available for people who might find it difficult to meet the full cost.
If this sounds helpful, call or email so we can talk further and you can find out more.

Clinical Supervision
I have over 12 years’ experience of Clinical Supervision both within organisational settings and in private practice.
I enjoy a varied supervision practice, supporting therapists in individual and group supervisions. I work with trainees and qualified therapists and supervise therapeutic work with individual adults, couples, families, groups and also young people.
Currently, I supervise non therapeutically trained professionals working in criminal justice, education and healthcare settings.
My supervision approach has a relational focus and whilst integrative is systemically informed. My supervisees would describe me as collegial, relational and boundaried.

Working with Organisations
Emotional and relationship difficulties are not always confined to the personal arena. Sometimes personal challenges impact professional capacity. Further, workplace difficulties can impact wellbeing and professional efficacy.
I offer the following to help organisations better support their staff and to address difficulties thereby reducing the impact on the wider organisation:
- Mentoring/Supervision to build competence and skills
- Group supervision to hold space for a reflective practice
- Strengthening professional relationships
- Emotional support and time limited therapy.
The above list is not exhaustive – please ask if there is support you are interested in but which is not covered above.
Why Work with Me?
Professional, effective psychotherapy practice built on compassion, relationship and trust with client(s)’ wellbeing and needs at the heart of the process
